Summer Camp Counselor
Responsibilities:
● Counselors are responsible for being the main point of care of their “cabin”, a group of 6-10 campers.
They will live in dorms with their group and build relationships with and among their campers and provide supervision and support to their campers.
It is their responsibility to ensure the safety of campers under their supervision.
● Counselors are responsible for ensuring that campers maintain their personal hygiene and a generally clean-living environment.
● Counselors are responsible for making sure campers are awake and ready on time, as well as enforcing lights out.
As well as assisting campers in getting to activities on time, assisting in daily activities, and leading activities with their cabin.
● Counselors are responsible for any reasonable tasks that are necessary in caring for their campers.
● Counselors report to the Camp Director and are supported by on campus house moms.
Scheduling:
○ Counselors will have a break for 1 activity period (1hr 15min) per day, counselors should not leave campus during this time without clearance from the Camp Director.
○ Counselors will have 1 12-hour and 1 24-hour period off per week (weeks beginning on Sundays).
Counselors are welcome to leave campus at their discretion during this time.
● Daily Schedule
○ Counselors are expected to be awake and on duty between the hours of 7am and 10pm, if not on break or time off.
○ After 10pm counselors are expected to wake up in case of emergencies.

They should also be able to obtain the following clearances: Act 34, Act 151, FBI Fingerprint Clearance and Act 126.
