Come join the DMVA team, apply today! DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Therapeutic Activities Worker, your day includes planning, organizing, and conducting therapeutic activity programs.
You will ensure resident activities support the organizations' mission of providing the highest standard of resident care.
Work includes assessing residents' functioning levels, monitoring and reporting their progress, and providing them with individual instruction.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 40-hour work week.
Work hours are 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch.
Days off vary.
Travel and overtime as needed.
Work schedule may change based on operational needs.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A bachelor’s degree with major coursework in therapeutic recreation; physical education; vocational rehabilitation; vocational education or counseling; art, music, dance, or occupational therapies; or a related human services field; or Four years of experience providing therapeutic activities for individuals with physical, medical, or cognitive disabilities; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
