The State Tax Equalization team at the Department of Community and Economic Development is currently looking for a motivated individual with expertise in real estate and assessment.
This position requires a strong understanding of Pennsylvania tax assessment and tax policy, specifically in relation to real property.
The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, conducting research in county offices, but also be willing to collaborate with the team to meet legislative deadlines.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
As a Real Estate Valuation Analyst, you will ensure that the most accurate assessment base is used for each municipality in the state.
Maintaining an accurate certified assessment total is crucial when developing an aggregate market value for each school district and establishes fair representation for subsidies in each district.
Specific duties will require you to obtain a copy of the certified assessed values for each municipality with the county and determine all tax incentive programs that each county participates in; such as Clean and Green, Keystone Opportunity Zones (KOZ), Tax Increment Financing (TIF), and Local Economic Revitalization Tax Assistance (LERTA), as well as develop a good rapport with county office personnel.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment.
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
Travel will be required.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
