The primary responsibility of the Assistant Manager is to work closely with the Clubhouse Manager with the daily operation and control of the clubhouse.
The Assistant manager works with other departments to ensure that all customer needs are met, and all functions are executed properly meeting the exact specifications of the customer.
The Assistant Manager serves as a positive team member within their department and all other departments while leading the department as an exemplary professional.
*Duties/Responsibilities:* · Responsible for the orientation and training of bartenders and waitstaff, providing quality service to members in all service areas.
· Responsible for implementing policies and procedures for all personnel in the department.
· Assists the clubhouse manager in managing the daily operations and controls of the clubhouse.
· Supervises clubhouse staff in all areas.
· Responsible for making sure dining and bar areas are stocked.
· Promotes upcoming events and introduces new promotions and ideas.
· Checks food and beverage for quality and appearance.
Also checks for efficiency on the bar and kitchen areas.
· Takes bar inventory; organizes new bar inventory sheets.
· Responsible for ensuring food sanitation safety guidelines are being met in all areas.
· Control loss due to waste or theft.
· Handle cash for cash bars.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities: · Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
· Has a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
· Strong leadership skills.
· Positive Attitude and Professional.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
· Self-starting personality; highly motivated.
· Must always maintain a professional appearance and manner.
· Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
· Must be available for all shifts (weeknights, weekends, mornings, days, holidays) · Must be able to learn all areas of the club to support staff and members needs.

* Follow up as appropriate with supervisor, co-workers or members regarding reported complaints, problems, and concerns.
* Promotes positive public relations with members.
* Possesses knowledge of the Country Club & Golf structure and how all departments interact.
* Communicates effectively with members, guests, and co-workers in a friendly and positive manner.
Education and Experience: * Requires a degree in Hotel, Restaurant Management, Business Management, or 2 years management experience in a restaurant setting.
* Works well under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Must be able to work independently and as a team.
* Must be familiar with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
* Must be able to hold Servsafe and RAMP Certifications.
* May be asked to hold current and valid Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearances.
* Must hold current and valid driver’s license free from major violations.
* Must successfully pass all relevant/required background screenings which may include, but not limited to, credit, criminal, driving, and drug screening.
Experience: * 2 year management experience is preferred (preferably in the Country Club & Golf Industry).
Physical Requirements: · Prolonged periods of standing.
· Physical demands include the ability to see (clarity of vision at 20 feet or more, possess three-dimensional vision, and be able to identify and distinguish colors), sit, talk (ability to express and exchange ideas by means of the spoken word), hear (ability to perceive the nature of sounds), stand for long periods of time, walk, handle, feel reach, bend, stoop, and lift, carry, push or pull items weighing 50 pounds or less.
