Essential Responsibilities
1)Totally responsible for leadership, management, direction and control
of all assigned drivers
2) Manages assigned drivers in such a manner as to maximize service to
customers, maximize revenue per mile, minimize deadhead miles operated, maximize earnings of drivers and assure that drivers receive proper home time to enhance retention.
3) Efficiently and effectively executes the daily and weekly operational plans to ensure the responsiveness and on-time performance for Smith Transport, Inc.
customers.
4) Immediately, accurately and completely enters all movement and driver
information into the data processing system.
5) Quickly coordinates equipment and/or vehicle maintenance problems with the appropriate member(s) of the Maintenance Department.
6) Immediately and professionally solves problems for drivers.
Receives and/or solicits movement orders from customers.
If a problem arises with a load or a customer, incumbent expeditiously contacts the customer so the problem can be resolved to the satisfaction of all parties concerned.
*SCHEDULE: 5:00 pm - 3:30 am weekly/ Saturday/Sunday 7:00pm - 7:30 am*
Work Friday, Saturday, Sunday, off Monday- Work Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday off Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
