Job Description
OVERVIEW
Provide leadership, direction and management of all accounting functions of SDS.
RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
1.
Maximize the development of internal talent through regular performance coaching performance reviews and presenting developmental opportunities.
2.
Align area objectives with the strategic goals of the organization.
3.
Monitor annual budgets for assigned area of responsibility to maximize profitability.
4.
Oversee the accounting functions of SDS including accounts payable, accounts receivable, order entry process, general ledger.
5.
Prepare and analyze various financial statements for SDS management team (monthly, quarterly, "as-needed").
6.
Coordinate the annual budget plan for SDS; includes forecasting various revenue scenarios as well as maintaining the data in the AFS accounting system.
7.
Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and licenses.
8.
Reconcile and monitor general ledger activity and store invoicing process.
9.
Work with purchasing department to ensure accurate product costs, deal agreements, etc.
Develop/enhance cost accounting for Sheetz Brothers Kitchen products.
10.
Manage year-end audit with external accounting firm.
QUALIFICATIONS
(Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business management or related field required
Experience
• Minimum 5 years public, corporate or general accounting experience required
• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience required
Licenses/Certifications
• CPA/CMA preferred
