Fish Culture Station Manager

THE POSITION Would you enjoy a job in a natural resource agency where you can manage a team of individuals who help provide fishing and boating opportunities for families and individuals on Pennsylvania's waterways? DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position is responsible for the daily direct management, supervision, and operation of Reynoldsdale State Fish Hatchery.
The manager is the lead person directing all production, assigning work, and setting standards of performance for the staff.
Duties include but are not limited to: maintaining discipline and chain of command, assuring production objectives are achieved, controlling the budget, reporting time and activity, assuring the safety of employees including operation of equipment and chemical use, and operating the station within compliance of NPDES limits at all times.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment.
Work hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years as a Fish Culture Station Foreman; or Four years of technical fisheries science experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirement: This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
