DESCRIPTION OF WORK Oversees functions of caseworkers of Blair County Children, Youth & Families (BCCYF), guides decision-making, ensures comprehensive investigation and service planning, covers supervised employees’ caseloads when needed, and participates in supervising emergency duty.
BCCYF supervisors are the main support for our caseworkers.
You will mentor caseworkers, collaborate with community stakeholders, and work with the administrative team to lead the agency.
Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment.
Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
Rotate Emergency Duty Supervisor coverage for after-hour calls.
Competitive benefits package starts first of the month following 30 calendar days and includes 90% employer-paid PPO health insurance with prescription and vision components, defined benefit pension plan, defined contribution plan, group term life insurance, sick time, and 14 annual paid holidays.
Hiring Range: $45,004.
87 to $48,605.
26 annually, with an opportunity to work supervisory emergency duty shifts for additional compensation.
35-hour workweek.
Non-union, exempt.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.
Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
